Indigenous Business Diploma

The goals of MCC’s Indigenous Business Diploma Program are to prepare graduates that are of the calibre that would address the human resource needs of First Nations administrations at the business administration level. 

Our program is designed to equip students that:

1. Are adequately prepared to continue on to any Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce degree with a 4-year University of their choice.

2. Have the compulsory foundation to start a business and access available resources to support their business ventures whether on or off reservation.

3. Can compete in pursuing employment opportunities including entry-level positions in First Nations administrative offices’ accounts receivable / payable and bookkeeping responsibilities, human resource management, community planning, and economic development departments.

The Maskwacis Cultural College’s School of Indigenous Business Diploma program consists of 60 credit hours of courses, including MCC required Cree content courses distributed as follows:

• 36 credit hours of Business courses

• 12 credit hours of Math and Computer courses,

• 12 credit hours of Cree/Humanities courses

• 60 Credit Hours                         

The current GPA for successful completion of the program is 65% or a 2.0 or higher.
