Maskwacis Administrative Assistant Certificate

This program will produce graduates who will be effective educators in the school environment in First Nations as well as non-First Nations communities. These graduates will grasp Indigenous perspectives to teaching methods, strategies and teaching styles complimenting the Western dominant models of teaching. The mission of this program is to explore teaching through the Indigenous context of Maskwacis Cree Epistemology, traditional teachings, and ways of knowing helping us to connect to the child’s spirit.

• Successful completion of Nêhîyaw Kiskêyihtamâwin Asinayhkan(Indigenous Education) Diploma

• with a 2.0 GPA in all courses;

• An entrance interview;

• Statement of Educational Philosophy
