The CoronaVirus “COVID-19” is a new strain from a family of coronaviruses (like SARS in 2003). Human coronaviruses are common and are typically associated with mild illnesses, similar to the common cold.

They target the lungs and in severe cases can develop into life threatening pneumonia

Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to the virus.

Currently available flu vaccines do not protect against COVID-19

Symptoms of human coronaviruses may be very mild or more serious, such as: • Fever • Persistent Dry Coughing • Difficulty breathing

These are important recommendations to mitigate the risk of contracting the virus:

1.wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds 2. avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, especially with unwashed hands 3. avoid close contact with people who are sick 4. cough and sneeze into your sleeve and not your hands 5. stay home if you are sick to avoid spreading illness to others 6. Use Lysol or Clorox to wipe all commonly touched devices such as cell phones, tablets, laptops, computer keyboards, and mice. 7. At home regularly wipe car door handles, fridge doors, doorknobs, and handles, remote controls, cupboard door handles, stove knobs, light switches, etc
